Music is a part of my life (as I am sure it is of everyone's) that is very dear, without music my life would be dull, it is something that when sad, makes me happy, when scarred, reassures me, and when happy, makes me feel even better than I already am. Music is something that has been around for, god knows how long, and will be around forever. Music has helped me through the darkest of time and will do in the future as well. 

Throughout all of history, there have been MANY singers/song writers but of course there are some who have made there mark on the music industry such as the legend that is Beethoven all the way to the great Michael Jackson. we have seen many great musicians, Queen, Elvis Presley,
The Beatles, Ravi Shankar, Elton John,
Prince, Bob Marley, Aretha Franklin, Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Florence and the Machine and Miley Cyrus just to name a few.

My favorite person from the music industry has to be Will.I.Am, a man who has sold 31 million albums and 58 million singles worldwide, is the founder of The Black Eyed Peas who is also the first recording artist to send a song to Mars in conjunction with NASA’s Curiosity Mars Space Lab. Will.I.Am also founded the S.T.E.M. program that he's raised 4 million dollars for and is trying to get into inner city schools all over the U.S., and now in England. S.T.E.M. stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Will.I.Am. feels that unless these schools really start emphasizing S.T.E.M. courses now, they won't be able to in the future. He particularly feels that girls need to be studying the technologies and math so they can be the future leaders they are built to be.
