Ram Leela

So, I've never known love in my lifetime, well not "true love" if there is such a thing, I have had crushes and right now I'm 'going out' with a girl whose name I will not mention, but never have I felt this thing such as love. Yesterday I was watching a Bollywood film (well I think it's Bollywood) called 'Goliyon ka Rasila Ram Leela' all about love. which I found as a very good film, but sadly it was a complete rip off of 'Romeo and Juliet', but at least they tried to change a few things, and in the end it turned out to be a half decent film. the film was very 'saucy' with a lot of, how do I say, hot? scenes, well never the less, it made me feel several different emotions but generally, I am an emotional person and I admit that several film do bring that out of me.

The film also had a lot about religion and violence and what I call, 'politics'. The film was very good as it captured all of the aspects of love, the arguments, the love itself, and the fact that they love each other so much that they can not live in a world in which they are not allowed (or able) to live with each other. It really is unfortunate that in the end they decide to kill themselves just when they were to be told that they will no longer be stopped from being in each others company. I have several favorite moments in this film such as in the beginning when they first meet at a great party held by one of their families in which they celebrate the festival of 'Holi'.

Another favorite moment of mine is when they run away because at that moment they are both ashamed and in love, throughout that scene they seem be very confused yet they still find the energy to sing another song (one I find to be a very good song for some reason that is unknown to me). one other favorite moment of mine is the moment they kill themselves because it showed their love for each other, and if you think about, if only they waited a few more seconds, they would have lived happily ever after. but I guess in this film, just like in Romeo and Juliet, their deaths create the biggest turning points in the films, the point at which the rest of the world in which they live, realizes tat the arguing and fighting was of no use, and they all change.
